The Technical Steering Committee is a proposed structure and has not yet been formed. This page describes the planned role and composition.
The Technical Steering Committee (TSC) stewards the specification, ratifies RFCs, and safeguards the interoperability and security guarantees of OSDF.
Responsibilities
- Ratify or reject RFCs after Last Call
- Maintain the conformance suite and certification program
- Oversee cryptographic suite selection and deprecation timelines
- Approve security advisories and coordinate disclosure
- Protect the non-negotiable protocol invariants
Composition
The TSC is designed to avoid single-vendor capture: seats are drawn from independent implementers, security researchers, and adopting organizations, with term limits and a published conflict-of-interest policy.

Transparency
Agendas, minutes, and votes are published. Specification changes are tracked in the open and tagged to the RFC that introduced them.
